VITAL '98 Accepted Papers

First International Virtual Conference on
Interactive Training And Learning

September 8-22, 1998, on the World Wide Web
The objective of this conference is to provide a forum for original articles and research in interactive training and learning programs and to foster communication among educators, practitioners and researchers working on a wide variety of interactive training and learning programs with the common interest of improving the effectiveness of these programs.

The focus of the conference is on new papers in the design, implementation and application of interactive training and learning programs. Papers that address novel, challenging and innovative results were solicited earlier this year. We also solicited short papers that challenge conventional widsom in these fields. Suggested topics included, but were not limited to:

  • Collaborative Learning Environments
  • Virtual Classrooms
  • Asynchronous Learning
  • Internet Authoring Tools
  • Case Studies
  • Web Based Training
  • Online Learning
  • Online Simulations
  • Synchronous Learning
  • Online Testing

Authors will be available online for a two day period during the conference to discuss their paper.
